Seymour

"Very handy town"

As other raters have mentioned, Seymour is close to everything, Melbourne, Shepp, Bendigo except for the beach. Howver there are plenty of beautiful waterways around Seymour itself and it is a 20min drive to Lake Nagambie. Not many places to shop, but certainly better than your average country town. Good phone reception and wireless internet. It is cheap to live, safe in most parts (there are a few seedy places - but that goes for everywhere). It has good access to the hospital, schools, and has several pubs. Beautiful walking tracks that you usually have to yourself. The only thing it is missing is more variety in radio stations!

Anderson Street

"peace and quiet"

Nice and quiet and close to the freeway to go anywhere. Good for walking dogs, riding horses. Pub is good for weekend night out and for meals, but not open very late. No shopping and not many facilities but not far to Seymour.
