"Great for Families and Kids"

I have lived here for nearly 2 years. Its is a great place for young families and children, it s very clean and surrounded by lots of bush and nature. There are lots of young families and the area is generally very clean, safe and friendly. It has all the nessessary amenities and has a train line that will get you to the city in around 45mins.

Great for

  • Clean and close to nature
  • Good for young families
  • Affordable

Not great for

  • Pennant Hills Road

Greenwich

"Small Hidden Gem"

I lived in Greenwich for 7 years. I loved the area as is close to the city but doesnt have the same hussle and bussle as most places surrounding the city. Water views lovely parks and multi mullion dollar designer homes make the place very pretty, but it is small and only have a few shops. Pollution is a problem as the winds can pick up the smog from the city and bring it over. Even with frequent cleaning my car was allways dirty form this. It is very noisy for 3 reasons.1st and the biggest drawback about the area was the huge, stinky, noisy, oil refinery that would have huge noisy trucks and machinery going up and down the main road all the time and at all hours. 2 every one is making their allready big houses even bigger with constant renovations and extensions meaning tradies were everywhere all the time, waking me up most mornings with swearing etc while is was there this was constant. 3 the plane noise.

Great for

  • Close to City
  • Close to Water
  • Pretty Area

Not great for

  • Oil Refinery
  • Pollution
  • Noise

'Oil refinery'? In Greenwich? Are you kidding? I've lived here for over 20 years and there is no oil refinery and no 'huge noisy trucks'. There's a Shell transfer depot on Manns Point, but the only traffic is the ships that berth there. The oil is then sent via the pipeline to the refinery at Silverwater. There is no heavy truck traffic down the main road or indeed any road in Greenwich. Are you sure you actually live here? I think perhaps not!

I agree with Louise's comment. Having lived here for a year you are mistaken with regards to the 'oil refinery' comment. It's where ship's refuel and I haven't experienced the smell, noise or traffic you refer to
