Humpty Doo

"Great for families"

Most people in Humpty Doo live on 5 acre blocks so it is fantastic for children with plenty of space and the ability to have animals (no council restrictions on livestock - other than to keep them healthy of course.

Fabulous wildlife - our block is often full of kookaburras and frequently have visits from cockatoos, ibis, magpie geese, butcher birds plus gorgeous tree frogs.

People are super-friendly and down-to earth.

Excellent child care, wonderful community library with fab kids' programs for babies, toddlers - and for school holidays.

Many primary schools to choose from...one public and one private in Humpty Doo - plus nearby others in Giraween and Howard Springs. The local high school has a farm with goats, cattle, chooks and horses and the opportunity to do agricultural units. It balances this with an academic program and committed teachers so you get the best of both worlds. The kids here are well-adjusted and friendly.

Neighbours pretty much keep to themselves but there is the feeling that any help will be there for the asking.

Has its own supermarket, newsagent etc...only 10 minutes to Coolalinga (bigger supermarket), 15 minutes to Palmerston, and 25 minutes to Darwin - easy to live here and commute in for work.

Range of homes from average - $1M+

Golf club provides great family meals.

Has a great rural gym that we love.

We love living here - we work in Darwin and it is fab to go back home to the country. It is amazing for kids to have the space that a block provides.
