Queenstown

"Picturesque and Friendly Locals"

I give this little town a good rating. The people of Queenstown are very friendly and the Empire Hotel are very accommodating and hospitable. I have been here for only weeks and its barely rained and as the local will tell you they do cloud seed and I find that strange considering that they already have high rain fall in the area. I love the look of the main street when you look up to see those mountains in the distance and I cant wait to see them when it snows (apparently it has been known to snow here from time to time).
The streets are safe for the children to walk around in and its the good old country exploring that keeps them entertained like riding bikes, fishing and just hanging about. The skate park it pretty good for those who dare and there are other activities available in the area for young and old although I will say communication in this department needs a little more attention. There needs to be a (physical) local notice board for things that are available to do in or around the area or activities taking place as I find it is hard to find out whats going on unless you know someone who is attending or word of mouth and sometimes that is too late..
All in all its safe friendly and a beautiful place to live.....Im going to try it :)
