Yangebup

"Best place to live and still undervalue"

I live in Yangebup for 12 years. Before we move there we live in Melville for 9 years. My husband did not want move there as he have opinion that is not good place to live. How wrong he was. It is best place to live! Blocks of land are big, lots of trees and lots of parks. Not many places like this in such a proximity to absolutely everything. We have three very good private schools, good shopping centre, train station and very SAFE beaches good for children. All beaches north of river are rough and not suitable for kids as waves are too strong. Our beach is in bay and exe lent for swimming not only for surfing and park is amazing so far from road that has feeling of holiday! For 12 years we have not problem with safety, our kids play outside and walk to schools, no problem. Not far is indoor swimming pool with best swimming club in whole Australia where our child was member for many years. We have people traveling very far (some more then 40 km) to be member of our swimming club. Because the way Yangebup was design with big bloke and many parks we have very little traffic on our streets, it is paradise (compare with new suburb and small bloke in same area 3X more cars and people). Good walk around lake with walking paths about 5km, among natural bush land. It is good no facilities around lake so you have a feeling you are in country not in 1.5 million people city, brilliant and unique! In short time we will have biggest and most modern hospital – Fiona hospital in our proximity as well as new biggest shopping centre. Beautiful place to live, we would not live anywhere else.

I known it makes me wander why someone pay $200K more for same quality house but different suburb name. My nice bought year ago run down house in Bull Creek for $620 !!!!! Same house here was $350K !!!!!! and it is much better position and nice suburb !!!!

So, do you both enjoy the dust from the cement factory? Lets tell the truth here, there is alot of pollution, you can smell it, and see it after a day on all surfaces. Should have stayed in Bullcreek!!

No dust here. I think some people look through dust coloured glasses! We get a smell (like a welding smell) for an hour or so maybe 6 times a year. Nothing to write home about. Depending on the way the wind is blowing we may hear the industrial area first thing in the morning. Again, nothing to worry about. Pollution? I would say there's much more pollution from the vehicle exhausts around Gateways in Success. And Bull Creek is close to....well, Bull Creek :)

No dust lol.. It ruined my outdoor setting which was wood. I have had to cover my new one to stop having to use a broom to remove the dust. That is lime dust too btw. It is well known that they have a massive emissions problem, just call the local mp and ask what petitions he has, I guarantee you one of them is pollution from Cockburn cement. On some days, when the wind blows.. It stinks!
I forgot to mention the midges... In summer they come en mass from the lake, which is also polluted. Great spot...NOT.

The dust, the smell, the midges. You'd better move quick to improve your life expectancy :)

Yes, laugh if you must, but this area is terrible.

We haven't had any dust or any midges - spooky!
