We've been in Ashbury for 13 years and are raising three young children. The community is friendly and everyone looks out for one another without being invasive. The parks in the area are vast and well mainatined. There are several schools in the area giving families choice of either a private or public education- both of which have a fantastic reputation. Whilst Ashbury is a beautiful, small suburb it's proximity to shopping centres is fantastic; take your pick Ashfield Mall, Westfields Burwood, Summer Hill village, Broadway shopping centre and Haberfield.
