Iris Street

"light under a bushel"

You would never know about this street unless you stumble upon it by accident which is how we came to buy here. Running east west between Wakehurst Parkway and Allambie Road and just 2 streets parallel north of Warringah Road places Iris Street perfectly for when ever and where ever you want to venture out. But you won’t want to. The south side of the street is far enough away from Warringah road so you don’t hear the traffic. But the best part is the north side of the street which looks over the valley to the unspoiled bush land on the next ridge and Oxford falls road and parts of Garrigal national park. Winter rarely touches the eastern end of this country oasis in the CBD and you can hear horses whinnying over the sea breezes wafting over Beacon Hill. The street is lined by tidy residences and is well trodden by residents taking long walks with their families and dogs. Iris Street is easily the best street in Sydney.
