We have lived in this suburb for 11 years and we are sad to be leaving. The location is just perfect for everything, close to major shopping centre, University, beach, cycle and walking tracks, airport, 15 mins to CBD and Palmerston. There is a first class primary school with academic extension programs and Senior college and a fantastice child care centre close by. Loads of fantastic Asian restaurants and a growers food and produce market on Sundays. There is a beautiful resort with a Gold Plate Awards winning Restaurant and bar across the road and also a local pub that serves resonable pub dinners and has a TAB and a Drive thru bottle shop. The next street has a small shopping complex with small food and Liquior market and a hairdressers and a doctors surgery and dentist surgery across the way. We have only had one car for the last 5 years as we are so close to everything and the weather is rarely a problem. There is minimal amount of crime and most houses are owners occupied. There are a few familes with kids and we all socialise and get along well. Across the Main road is Darwin's major sporting grounds, Marrara, which has nearly every sport imaginable, including AFL, Rugby, Soccer, Gymnastics, basketball, netball, BMX, Shooting, Volley ball, Dancing and many many more. The traffic is light but not light enough to play cricket on the street. We love this area and would never live anywhere else in Darwin.
