Dee Why

"great metropolitan living on northern beaches"

Dee Why is a great place to live. It has arguably some of the best resteraunts and cafes on the whole of the northern beaches. Dee Why also has arguably one of the nicest beachfronts on the northern beaches aswell. It is great for surfing the beach breaks regulary have good banks and Dee Why point is a world class wave on its day (not for beginners!).

It has many parks, sporting fields and a lagoon so there is plenty of recreational options available. Heaps of local and nearby sport clubs including surf club, rugby union, cricket, soccer, rugby league, netball and baseball.

Dee Why has been let down by previous warringah councillors preceeding over the area and as a result low rise blocks of apartments dominate the suburb. This development has provided affordable property (when compared to other suburbs on the northern beaches) and is a popular suburb for first home buyers and young singles and couples entering the expensive area.

There is a new town centre proposed for Dee Why which has had planning approval. This also includes an upgrade of the main bus terminal and improved traffic flow through the main retail precinct. I think Dee Why will only become more desirable in the future.
