Woodford

"Isolation"

Don't even think of living here if you don't have a car.
The nearest decent shopping is 20 miles away and the highway is blocked most days either by road works or fatal accidents.
The local kids who call themselves the woodhoods spread grafitti and cause trouble wherever they can.
The people are clicky and don't like strangers.
Live here at your peril

Sure Jonno - agree with statement 1 - you need a car. Statement 2 - it depends what you are shopping for - if your just looking for food, head to Woolies or the Super IGA but if its fashion then head twenty minutes down the road to Morayfield Shopping Centre or down to North Lakes for an even bigger range. Statement 3 - "The Woodhoods" these are just young people sure not condoning what they do however if this is as bad as they do then don't move to Caboolture or any more metro area because you won't cope with the amount of other stuff gangs and young people do. Statement 3 - like all country towns people are clicky but there are those who are new who have intergrated themselves into the community very well and now have friends here - I'm wondering have you done the same?

Try Alice Springs where the nearest "Town" is 500km away. My Daughters are here and I really don't appreciate the comment about the youths, it is not all youths and I can garentee that it gets alot worse the closer you get to the city. My girls are decent children who I am bringing up to have respect for their neighbors and their community. As anywhere there are always a few that have to play up a bit. I Moved here 3 years ago and have fitted in just fine, my older kids go to school and I have one at home. As for the Highway well in 3 years I have been stopped twice for an accident. The road works are necessary to help reduce the accidents and wear on vehicles and I am sure you are not complaining about the work that has been done. Once it is finished then it will be much better, and as I said before it is no worse than anywhere else for roadworks, patience is the key.

This is my experience too. DONT MOVE TO WOODFORD IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO LIVE ELSEWHERE.
