"Glad I rented and not bought"
When we arrived from England Sovereign Islands seemed the ideal location with its pristine streets and impressive houses, but I am so glad we rented and did not buy for a number of reasons. After living there a while it started to remind me of the TV series THE PRISONER where you could go for days without seeing anyone. I later realised half the houses seemed to be empty for most of the time and the other half seemed to be for Sale. I dont think I Have seen any capital growth on Sovereign Islands sinceI have been on the Coast since 2003. Renting and not buying saved me a packet.Could not wait to get out of there as the school trip took nearly ninety minutes TWICE per day. Eventualy bought in Benowa which is much better. Wanted to be in Sorrento but could not afford it at the time.

Yep, go and purchase in a high-crime suburb close to night clubs and party goers. I love Paradise Point and wouldn't live any where else. It's a shame that so much has changed since you posted in 2011 and it's a wonderful family suburb with everything that one could ask for and more
Thanks for the positive things said about paradise point. Me, my wife and daughter are staying for seven weeks in mid September onwards with a view to moving there permanently. We were a little nervous but most of the things people are saying have reassured us and we can't wait to get to know the place.

If you couldn't afford to buy at Sorrento, Sovereign Island would be out of the question.Anyhow, Paradise Point isn't only about Sovereign Island.The "Duck Streets are on a small peninsular and are bordered by the boat harbour and the broadwater and the life-style there is second to none!!
