Mount Druitt

"Shalvey - Not What it Used To Be"

I have lived in this area for over 25 years. I have had one break-in, in all that time. My son/daughter went to Shalvey P.S. - my son was DUX, my daughter came 3rd. He is now an executive for a large US company.

You get what you give living here. There are pockets of imbeciles, but like any suburb, 99%, just go about their day to day activities. People are friendly, they like to chat - a 30 minute walk around the block, usually takes 60, by the time you ask, and they ask, how you/they have been.

I have no complaints - I live well, have a nice home, nice neighbours, and when I retire for that beach house, will have fond memories.

Your suburb is what you make of it - not what some bigot makes of it
