McLaren Vale is a friendly town with quiet neigborhood, mix of retirees and families with kids, there's kindergarten, primary & secondary schools and childcare, medical and health facilites have expanded. Majority of residents are long-stayers, and the best streets are: Valley View Drive, Vine Street, and Woodley Grove, abounding in trees, gardens, and birdlife. The large shopping centre of Colonnade & Centro is 15 minutes away in Noarlunga and so is the train station. RSL on Wednesdays and the McLaren Vale Bowling Club on Fridays serve quality cheap meals. There are select restaurants and cafe houses serving local produce, the butchers sells excellent meat products and the Bakehouse sells their award-winning meat-pies. You won't be disappointed!
