Claremont

"Love Claremont for location"

Love Claremont for location to the city and beaches. I'm not one for shopping so Claremont quarter ha no appeal to me at all. The people are lovely and everyone friendly in my area. Lots of schools and in my opinion on of the best public schools Shenton College. property prices here are a world of their own, the demand here is always strong at the moderate housing price range...a tough market to buy in, can't imagine my teenage kids will ever be able to afford to live here. Cafes and restaurants are better elsewhere, I find extremely overpriced to eat out in this area. I love walking and nature , great parks and lake claremont, also close to get to kings park and bold park. I'm in love with Claremont

Great for

  • Stunning and clean parks

Not great for

  • Peak hour traffic can be a nightmare so close to many schools.

Mindarie

"Stunning coastline just not a very diverse culture."

Beautiful natural coastline of some of the most stunning endless beaches. This is great if you dont work as Mindarie is too far from the city and other commercial areas for professionals, The people are very nice however this suburb is not diverse culturally and does not depict a true Australia with not many different nationalities like you see in other areas.
The high school options are limited somewhat with most parents sending their children to third rate private schools costing $$$$ for what many good public school offer for free....I lived here for 12 years and chose to move closer to the city, love coming back to see that gorgeous sunsets, although not much good if it takes you an hour or more to get home from work as you will never see the sunset. Maybe a good place to retire .
