Costain Street

"Perfect place to live, not as far from town as people think."

We have lived here for 8 years, Goldsborough is a wonderful place to live. Everyone who lives here is very friendly but not "in your face friendly", a polite wave or a quick chat, very nice. For tech minded people, internet used to be faster 7-8Mb/Sec but now about 3Mb/sec as the Gordonvale exchange is due for upgrade. Digital TV comes from Malanda and mobile reception is good in areas, poor in others, depending on carrier. It is a very quiet place to live and traffic is almost non-existent, despite the large number of people who now live out here.

Other things people may wish to know, you can get pizzas delivered if you don't feel like cooking. Woolworths delivers groceries here, but shopping is only 7-10 minutes away by car. McDonalds opens next month at Gordonvale which has everything you need, shops, Golf Course & Race course, Hardware, hotels, parks, schools (private & public) etc.

Costain Street is the last of the 1st stage of Goldsborough Valley Estate but I think 10 or more stages have been opened now. There are lots of people who live here but it still feels very private.

I work in Cairns and door to door takes 30 minutes, less some mornings, more on rainy days. The drive is very nice past Edmonton on the home or on the way in, to Edmonton.

Rates are considerably cheaper than Cairns as there is no sewerage, the drinking water is beautiful from the Behana. Town power and water to all blocks, most places use septic or biocycle setups.

Awesome place to live, beats suburbia anyday.
