Had a great cheap, no frills lunch $8 at Little Lanka. It could have been hotter, but the flavours were great and authentic, as the presence of many customers eating in the traditional style and washing their hands afterwards testifed (plastic cutlery is available), providing equally authentic 'ambience'. Felt perfectly safe walking around the shops at midday, although i wouldn't dress up to draw attention to myself. This is an authentic Australian battlers' suburb
