Glendenning

"A good first home buyers area"

I tend to think of Glendenning as a first home buyer, young families area. I bought my first house there, as it seemed a nicer area than the surrounding suburbs, yet is cheaper than sought after Quakers Hill. I've had no trouble whilst living there, although I tend to think once I have enough money i would like to move onto a better area.
It is a short drive to Quakers Hill train station (5 mins) and there are numerous buses that circulate the Glendenning area.
There is a medical centre and chemist. Service station. Hungry Jacks and Red Rooster. Subway and a pet food store, all within Glendenning. There are 2 primary schools and child care facilities. A hair dresser and multiple parks.
All in all, not a bad start and a decent area to consider.

Portland

"A Seachangers Dream.."

We visited Portland for the first time last month and I was surprised with how much Portland has to offer. There are numerous beaches (even for dogs), fishing spots, watersport activities (aquatic centre with waterslides), parks for children to play in.
I have heard that Portland is set to do well in the coming years, and note they are opening a new Aldi supermarket and McDonalds restaurant next month, which only adds to the speculation that this town is set for some nice growth.
We will definitely be heading back to Portland for another holiday- maybe next time in Summer so we can soak up some sun on their gorgeous beaches.
Anyone looking to go to Portland should not miss a drive out to Cape Bridgewater- (10 mins or so) you wont be disappointed! :-)
