Concord

"Leafy family neighborhood with great shops & cafes."

I have lived in Concord with my family (school aged children) for just over 6 years. We LOVE it. Our neighborhood is walking distance to Majors Bay Road which is filled with beautiful cafes and shops. Our street has ton's of kids and everyone plays outside together, which warms my heart. The schools are excellent with both public and Catholic schools options in the area. The houseing prices have increased rapidly - our house has doubled in the last 5-years. We also like that there is a train station (Strathfield North Station) and a ferry stop (Cabarita) in the area. It is a leafy suburb with lots of Federation style homes on decent sized blocks. It was historically an Italian neighborhood and the shops and cafes still reflect that. We wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

  • Leafy, family neighborhoods
  • Great resturaunts and cafes
  • Close to the city and near transport

Not great for

  • Parking can be difficult on Majors Bay Road

Meadowbank

"Very Convenient - with shopping and transport at your doorstep"

Meadowbank is located on the bank of the Parramatta River. The suburb has both a train station and a ferry stop and it is only 25 minutes to the CBD. There is also lot's of shopping options with a Franklins and Aldi located in the Waterpoint shopping village. It is a mult-cultural area and the local resturants reflect that diversity - with Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Lebanese, Italian cafes located near the foreshore.

Great for

  • Train and Ferry stop
  • Easy shopping options
