Not much here for nightlife. Have to travel elsewhere for entertainment. Noisy if you live near the train line and/or factories. Good for public transport. Overall OK.

Blackwood is a lovely suburb with some great hills and sea views. It has your major supermarket chains and the train (very long trip however to get to Adelaide sometimes 40 minutes if it runs on time) to get to Adelaide. Many houses do not have flat blocks and there is not much after hours entertainment. There is the Belair pub and a couple of restaurants. TV reception can be dodgy. Some really nice parks and walks.

Blair Athol is super convenient with Northpark shopping centre and prospect road precinct within walking distance. North Adelaide is a 5 minute drive and the CBD about 10 minutes away. There are some lovely character homes and parks with playgrounds. It is way undervalued with the same types of homes only a street or two away in Prospect selling for an extra 100000. Get in while you can.
