This is a lovely suburb, and it is good to see that the local real estate agents are so enthusiastic about it. But, this is an area for families. Young single people should not be ignored when taking account of a suburb. There is relatively little for young people in this area. I have visited friends in this area, and it is very nice. Don't get me wrong. All I am saying is that it is a little way out for young people who need to get public transport to work, go to uni, or have a good time on weekends. I give it 4.5 stars.

This is a great area for families. I completely understand why those who live in the area love it so much. But, young single girls (and guy) might find the area a little stifling. It is too far from the things that young people need access to. No area can be all things to all people, and I don't mean to be critical, but suburbs shouldn't be rated solely on how they cater to nuclear families. I still give it 4.5 stars.

Ashgrove is Brisbane's top suburb for families. The parks, the schools, and the large blocks are ideal. But, for a single gal like me, there is nothing. If you are young and single you have to look elsewhere. If you are a student, it is too far to travel. Again, don't get me wrong, if you are raising a family there is no better place to be. Looking at the reviews there is nothing for me to add, other than what I have said. I just noticed that no one has made this point.
