Paradise Point

"The demographic is changing, with more and more families moving in"

Mark MacCabe says "20 years ago, Paradise Point was known as 'Parasite Point', my how things have changed".

My wife has lived here for more than 20 years, and when we bought our first home here, back in 2000, you were hard pressed to find another young family. But now, they are everywhere. In 2000, the Paradise Point Uniting Church was full of pensioners, now it is a vibrant hive with a mixture of young families through to retirees. The really great thing about living here, is that it still feels like a village. It is not a thoroughfare. You don't drive through Paradise Point to get anywhere. The parks are outstanding. You feel really proud on those days of celebration like New Years, or Mothers Day, when the place is packed, and you realise that people come from miles away to be where you live every day.

The restaurants are magnificent. Very good value, and very good quality. The local convenience store is good value with an outstanding range, and open till 7pm each night. We love walking from the harbour around and down the esplanade, then get our fruit and food for the kids lunches, then home. Every morning. Magnificent. When it is time to go anywhere, we are only minutes to the M1, then quick access to everything.

Come and visit Paradise Point - you will never want to leave.
