I agree, most services are at your fingertips, including hospital, schools, shopping, free way, public transport, train & buses, great wide roads and whatever else you need. A very under rated suburb.

Of course you ago Nicholas, youre a real estate agent in the area! Did you write the first review yourself or did one of your friends/colleagues?! What a load of propaganda, Thomastown is a rundown suburb with lots of roller shutters, clearly its not safe

There is crime everywhere! In the late 90s many Italians and Greeks installed roller shutters on their windows, often via telemarketing! The shutters were marketed to them as a stylish way to control the temperature of their homes and often replaced ugly blinds. Roller shutters are very common in any suburb that has a lot of Italian/Greek style homes. Thomastown may have its share of run down/overgrown homes but in general it is a quiet, affordable and underrated suburb with excellent access to freeways, Epping Plaza and central to the entire northern suburbs.

It's a great suburb. I can confirm after living here for close to 2 years. I have yet to witness a crime or unpleasant exposure.
