I've lived in Hedland now for almost 15 years and my husband has been her for almost 28 years. The town has been really good to us financially and we have made some wonderful life long friends here. Yes the town may not be so pretty but it's what you make of it really. If you're lucky enough to live in one of the newer homes in Hedland it makes the blow just that little bit easier to handle. Can't stand people that knock the town but are happy to come here and take the money that it offers them. It's a very community orientated kind of town though. If you make the effort there is a lot to do up here. Alot of people leave town once their kids start reaching toward highschool age, hence the reason we're leaving shortly. I'm going to miss Hedland terribly when it's finally time to go.
