Murarrie

"Up & Coming Suburb!"

We're first home buyers, but were first looking around the Morningside area, but after finding this hidden gem in Murarrie we have been more than impressed with this suburb. We're on the East Side of Creek Rd, which is much older than the newer estates located in Park Hill, but plenty of potential on this side of the road. The houses are older, but they're all either being renovated or have been renovated, which I can see is going to lift the demand and price of this suburb in less than 5 years. The older residents are moving out, and younger residents are moving in and renovating their dream homes at a fraction of the cost of what it is to buy in the Morningside/Bulimba suburbs which are merely 1-3kms away.

East Village has taken some time to get up and running, but once it has been constructed it will certainly add the spark back in to this forgotten suburb. The blocks are MUCH larger than what you will find in any of the newer suburbs, and many of our neighbours have chickens and birds which can sometimes give the illusion we're living out in the country (which we love).

We do hear the planes SOMETIMES, and the odd coal train at night - but considering we've just moved from Morningside where we were directly underneath the flight path, it is considerably more quiet here in Murarrie. Our neighbours are fantastic, and there's a super friendly energy about this neighbourhood. Would highly recommend for first home buyers and young, middle-aged couples.
