Medina

"A great place for all"

Medina is a Heritage listed area with beautiful homes and close to transport, freeway and beach. Also there is a universty campus at Rockingham (couple of minutes away) and health facilities are nearby in Adddition Murdoch uni is only 15 minutes away. Medina is much closer to Perth (20 mins away) than Mandurah and has a fremantle feel about it, although, less expensive. Medina is suitable for families, couples, retirees and singles.

Hi NortenSuburbs,
Can you tell me the commuting time from Medina to Nedlands (near Perth CBD)? I have applied for a job at Nedlands and I am looking at areas to purchase a house. I like the idea of being close to the beach, and can be mortgage free with Medina prices. Does it really have a 'Freemantle feel' or is that just Real Estate speak? I am on the east coast (NSW) currently so would appreciate any info you have. I have also considered purchasing closer in with a small mortgage....I have noticed some houses as low as 350K in Victoria Park. Are there any other areas closer in that have a good feel (a bit artsy, cafes etc) and are on the budget side of things? I would appreciate any ideas.

cheers
