Nannup
Editors Choice

"A very nice community both for the young and old."

We could have picked anywhere in Australia to settle down when our two children got to school age. There was something nice about Nannup when we spent 3 days staying at the caravan park whilst exploring the SW before visiting relatives in Perth and Albany. Now 3 years on we don't regret our choice to move to Nannup in any way.

The children love the school, the people in town are very friendly. There are enough facilities for the daily shopping and other needs yet Perth is merely a 3hr drive away for that big smoke get away and major retail therapy if one really needs it! But you're guaranteed to be itching to get back to Nannup within a few days of being in the big smoke.
Not to mention other major centers are merely an hour away or less. And within that 100km radius you're spoilt for choice if you like day trips, places like Bridgetown, Balingup (what a nice drive), Pemberton, Manjimup, Margaret River, Busselton, Bunbury, and just a bit further the famous beaches of Yallingup.

Most people probably just pass through Nannup, unless of course you happen to come during events such as our Music Festival or Flower Festival and other such events which draw quite a crowd. There is a good mix of people in the community, it's a growing town in regards to young families and it's still a lovely peaceful place for those looking at retirement. You can chose the real peace of a rural property or the township itself.
