Perth (CBD)

"Still affordable.. but for how long ?"

Typical big Australian city. But at least in this one you can get around in it.
Except during peak hour on the freeway.
Most development hugs the coast and with only one major freeway to the north and south the freeway turns into what most describe (fairly accurately) as a moving car park.
Out of these hours though at least you can actually drive around ... unlike Sydney which is a nightmare all day.

Very nice river. Probably one of the best in OZ for a city (with the exception of Sydney).
Lots of places to eat and be entertained etc ... otherwise described as a big country town and it still has a little of that "sleepy" feeling to it .. but that is going fast as the place is getting bigger and better all the time.

Unlike Detroit and Buffalo in the USA ... this city has a future. A very bright one.

It does get a little hot sometimes ... but the lead in and out of summer make for some really long nice days.

Certain outlying suburbs have the "all pervasive bogan" element to them .. .but no more than any other similar suburb in any other big city. The difference here though is they have cash and aren't breaking into your house. At least they drive new V8's and probably own a jetski.

Plenty of lifestyle choices on offer if you can afford them .. from beach side living to acreage and horses in the hills.
