North Melbourne

"Heritage, style and convenience"

My family settled in North Melbourne a few years ago, having built a townhouse on one of the more attractive and secluded lanes in the area. It really has turned out to be a great decision for us with all the advantages of inner city living and the upmarket trends.

The area is excellent for singles, couples and families with teenagers. Yet recently it appears that families with younger children are thriving and rounding out the neighborhood in the most positive way.

Within close proximity are excellent restaurants including French, Italian and Asian. North Melbourne Primary, University High School, Melbourne University and RMIT are in walking distance. There are bike lanes, numerous public transportation options, various parks and proximity to Royal Park. There is easy access to shopping and nightlife being centrally located to Carlton, Docklands and the CBD. All the convenience without the downsides.

  • Proximity to CBD and tertiary institutes
  • Heritage buildings, park access, eclectic shopping and dining

Not great for

  • Need more facilities for young children
