Barber Drive

"A terrific place for Families"

It's about a 5 to 10 minute walk to Blacks Beach, which is a strip of unspoilt, pristine beach that stretches on for miles. On low tide you can walk to Slade Point from the tip of Blacks Beach or walk around to Dolphin Heads and Eimeo Beach. Eimeo has a Boat Ramp and a great little creek for fishing or you can go out on the high tide to the ocean, for a fish.
During the school holidays, there are life guards on patrol during the day, which is terrific for a swim with the kids. There are also BBQ areas for a family picnic at both Eimeo and Blacks Beaches along with toilet amenities.
The Blacks Beach Tavern is a 2 minute walk away from Barber Drive and it has terrific food and atmosphere and it doesn't have live bands, therfore it is very quiet and more like a restaurant with the convenience of a bottle O and a bar with pokies.
There is also Melaluca's Restaurant which is about 3 minutes drive away from Barber Drive. It also provides a lovely atmosphere to dine in with terrific cuisine. The famous Eimeo Pub is also very close and it provides a terrific view of the Whitsunday's as well as a great pub style meal and atmosphere.A great place to go for a Sunday lunch.
I loved taking my dog for a walk around Blacks Beach/Eimeo area area towards the beach as people were very friendly and the homes and gardens are pleasing to look at.
There is also the convenience of Bi Lo up the road and down the other way a Take Away Thai restaurant, Fish Shop, Hairdressers and a Bakery next to the Convenince Store.
Barber Drive is very close to all amenities and a terific place to live. I really miss it, can you tell?
