Rossmoyne

"Highly Desired Riverside Suburb!"

I have lived in many suburbs within 15km of Perth and I consider Rossmoyne to be the most ideal to raise my family. We love living here and intend to stay put until the kids move out. It ticks all the right boxes for us. Majority of the lots are full sized (about 850m2) which is becoming quite rare even in new suburbs. We enjoy being and getting the kids active by walking or cycling along the river and to school. The local schools are very reputable (Rossmoyne High is consistently a top performing public school) which is often enough reason for parents to want to relocate within the school's local intake zone. Rossmoyne is in a very handy location being close to the City, Fremantle and the Perth airports. It has good transport links (Leach Highway and the Freeway), an easy access to public transport (regular buses to Bull Creek train station to go to the city), top class medical facilities nearby (St John of God Murdoch and the new Fiona Stanley Hospital) as well as many shopping areas a short drive away (Garden City, Carousel, Riverton Forum etc). In comparison to the other suburbs I've lived in (3 of which are riverside suburbs), it's very peaceful and safe here for kids and there's very little local street traffic. However, traffic noise could be an issue if you live close to Leach Highway. Like any riverside or lakeside suburbs, mosquitos are sometimes a problem when bringing the kids for a walk or to play at the foreshore parks in the evenings. House prices in Rossmoyne are not too far out of reach compared to other riverside suburbs in Perth. It also holds its values well. Most Rossmoyne residents tend not to move away because it's hard to find any reason to. Big blocks, child friendly, great schools, friendly neighbours, beautiful houses, river lifestyle and close to everything all make Rossmoyne a highly desired suburb!
