Pine Avenue

"Sorry to be leaving"

Ulong is not very big so to write about Pine Ave is to write about Ulong
We have a saying here to visitors "don't drink the water or you'll never leave" its that kind of place.
There is much to love and having lived in many different places my husband and I believe Ulong has a lot to offer and definitely has the best climate.
In winter the nights are cold and crisp with a fire to warm you and the days are warm and sunny. To sit on the back verandah warmed by natures heater is one of the best ways to start the day.
To come up the mountain in summer the temperature drops 5deg which makes for very pleasant summers. Swimming at the Timms Park creek or one of the many other watering holes.
People say what do you do in Ulong and I can only say that once again I have lived in many different places, cities and large towns and I always have more of a social life in Ulong.
For some reason we have more gatherings outside in winter all gathered around a bonfire.
If you enjoy your own company then peace and quiet is available in abundance, joining in is definitely a personal preference.
There is a local Ex Services Club which is great place to catch up and enjoy different events held throughout the year. There are several community groups including Mountain Heartstart Eastern Dorrigo landcare Community Hall and Rural Fire Service.

I am leaving to move close to family and if I could pack up this little slice of heaven and take it with me I would.
