Eating out is good there are some take away places but the best place is a Niko's on Partman Street, 10 mins away by walk..
Niko's does awesome desert specially their cheesecakes....muahahahaha...lovely
Oakleigh Centro is 10 mins by walk. There is Coles Super Market in there, Woolworth....A bakery .....some clothes shop and Pharmacy..
There are some good delicatesen and butcher shop on Portmans Street which is 10 mins away.

There is a Park near by with Alexander the Great's Statue on the side of the park...where the Greek Comunity offer flowers. There are 2 Indian Grocery Shops in this area.
Oakleigh train station is in walkable distance.

Every sunday there is a Morning Market. you can find fresh veges. second hand stuff and also Jewellery.....

Also there is Wah Kee another Malaysian Place but its a bit costly.
there are some Asian Restaurant there as well which provides good food value for money.

The Golf Course is near by.... there is a park where you can go for your morning or evening walks.

There are 2 train station which are near by...Huntingdale and Clayton...

I love living on this street as its close to everything.
The best thing is that it is close to the Fashion Capital. Last Christmas when I was shopping there on Boxing Day with the issues in looking for parking over there, I just had to walk up to The Fashion Capital which took about 15mins.It is acessible in many ways near to Monash Freeway, Princess Highway and Warrigal Road.There is the best fish and chips shop on this street...People who live on this street are very passionate about their gardens. You will never see a house without flowers on this street. Its very safe as well. The Oakleigh Leisure Centre is about 5 mins away by car. They have the best Gym. Group Fitness Classes and also Swimming Pools.The nearest train station is the Oakleigh Train station which is 5mins away by car and 20 mins by walk. This train station falls under the Zone 1. There is are 2 Public Libraries which are located near this street (Mt Waverly Library & Oakleigh Library).

Leighoak Hotel is just around the corner, whether you want to go there for a meal or a drink or maybe some pokies...
