"Great place to live"
Warrandyte & Shelagh Court is great !
Its just half an hour from the city (non peak hour), but at the end of the day - you can escape to the quiet each night.
We have everything (In order of importance)
Safety - We have had no problems ever (touch wood)
Warrandyte Pub - good for a few drinks with locals
Shopping (The Pines or Westfield Doncaster just 10 min away)
Schools - Warrandyte High School is a 5 min walk
Parks, walking/bike tracks & more
Wildlife (watch out for the kangaroos, which make an appearance every now and then!)
We love it and wouldn't trade it for living in the city ever!

You are so right SaraLongo. Warrandyte with it's big acre blocks and relaxed lifestyle is a fantastic place to live. I feel it's very much underrated and a hidden gem in Melbourne. A good tourist attraction if you have nothing to do on a weekend walking along the river learning about the mining history.
