We've been living in Bexley for over 6 years. We have small children and take them to one of the many childcare centres around the area and then drive to Rockdale train station where it's about a 25 minute trip to Town Hall. Otherwise we get the bus to the station.
We have Hurstville or Miranda shopping. We go to one of the many cafes in Brighton, Newtown or Sans Souci for breakfast and Kingsgrove is an area that has been constantly growing recently and has many new quality cafes and restaurants.
The streets are quiet here and I'm surprised at some of the reviews regarding aircraft noise. Bexley is affected only by the East-West runway. There are two North-South runways and when the airport is busy - which is most of the time - they need to use both N-S runways which means they can't use the E-W runway at all. So aircraft noise in Bexley is actually quite infrequent and even when they do come over, it's usually for short periods and not that intrusive at all.
