"Fabulous gem 100% happy"
Large blocks, surprisingly close to everything.
Kids playing with neighbours like the olden days. Roller skating, bunnings, cafes, train station (eltham TS is equally as close), water parks, miniature train rides, bushwalking.

"Old but improving"
Great proximity to services from Templestowe village and the 905 city bus in both directions, also park at one end and medical centre at the other.
However it's Hilly and has NO footpaths. Off-street parking is risky.
Very multicultural.
Not great for
- Hilly
- Parking
- Footpaths

"Good for the right people"
Once described to me as 'cashed up bogans', which after 5 years I now tend to agree with. It is a good place for families, but it is expensive - and it's also quite hilly. Good luck finding a 'flat' yard.
It also has chronic over-estimating of property for auctions, probably the worst in the state.
So - if you have a property, congrats because you are probably going to make more.
If you plan to buy here, make sure there are people of the same 'culture' as you otherwise, it's not friendly or hospitable.
Yet i've lived here for 5 years because of the reasons stated by other people.
When i buy - it won't be here.
hope this helps frame Templestowe in a more balanced perspective.

- Great shopping - Doncaster Shoppingtown, Pines
