South Windsor has traditionally being a lower socio economic area; associated with high levels of rental activity. However with increasing investment by the Hawkesbury council and state government South Windsor and sourrounding areas are in a state of transitional change whereby there is an increasing owner ocupier base, with increased levels of renovation and rebuilding.

Areas of South windsor do flood; as with much of the Hawkesbury/Blacktown regions including the newly realesed kilania estate, I would suggest that any potential purchasers do their research before purchasing and purchase in areas above the 1 in 100 year flood zone rating. These ratings are provided by Hawkesbury council itself and are included in any purchaseing document.

Within the area there are many public amenities such as child friendly parks, dog friendly parks, an indoor swiming pool and open riverfront parkland. The streets are clean and where I reside the neighbours are ealderly, approachable and very generous. Public transport consists of the Richmond trainline, Taxis and also Buses; including the new Windsor bus exchange terminal.

This area is a great place to live, I would recomend it to anyone.
