Stafford Heights

"Good investment location"

Stafford Heights is well located, and definitely a good long term investment because of its location. No trains, but plenty of buses service the area, and also the new Airport link and Inner city busway are nearby. Also the suburb is very close to both Chermiside and Stafford City shopping centres, which both have cinemas.

Ferny Grove

"Peaceful, leafy, quiet, yet close to the city"

This suburb has come a long way with a major upgrade to the train station, as well as the soon-to-be-completed Ferny Grove tavern. I personally like Ferny Grove due to its proximity to the train station, the quiet, leafy streets, and generally large house blocks of around 700-800 sqm (compared to the inner city of only 400 sqm). You are literally at the very outskirts of Brisbane, yet only a 30 minute train ride from the CBD. Due to the suburb's geographical location at the base of the hills, it will never get built out, and should remain a nice quiet suburb with no through traffic for many years to come.
