Point Turton is our hidden gem. Much less touristy and populated than Moonta as a holiday place which is exactly why we bought here (found ou dream holiday home on realestate.com 2 years ago).

It's a perfect place for getting away from the stresses and strains of everyday living. Traffic is almost non-existent other than the odd boat and car passing by for the early in the morning and evening catches.

It has everything and more, surrounded by some of the best beaches in SA and is a great place to take young children. Flaherty's Beach is the best for shallow, calm waters and perfect white sand with no seaweed on the sea bed. You could be in the Maldives when you're wading out on a perfect summer day... The locals and neighbours who have holiday homes are so friendly and we so welcoming.

The Tavern and Inland Sea restaurant are great places to eat and the local store has eveything - and i mean everything!

The fishing is amazing and dolphines and rays are frequent visitors (once also spotted a seal basking on the rocks just outside Point Turton). The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular - great cycling amongst the farm lands behind Point Turton as well as along the coasts). Can't say enough great things about it. Perfect place to live or holiday and would highly recommend it - as long as you don't want busy busy busy!
