Regents Park

"A great place to buy your first home"

We bought our first home at Regents Park 1 year ago. Being Logan we were a bit skeptical in terms of the neighborhood and whether there was going to be a lot of dodgy people around. It has so far been a very positive experience, the neighbors are great, the street looks really well maintained and it is incredible quiet where we live. Great area and very good value for first home buyers. It takes me about 25 minutes to get to town which is acceptable and you get used to the driver very quickly.

I have never lived a place with so many shops and services so close. There is virtually everthing you need at Browns Plains, a 3 minute drive down the road. It's one of those places that has all food stores, (Nando's, Dominos, Pizza Hut, HJ, Mcd, etc etc) all banks, car shops, tyre places, mechanics, wollies, coles, big w, bunnings, target, kmart, you name it.

I have lived in around the local area of Browns Plains for approximately four years before purchasing my home in Regents Park. Classed as one of the better areas in close proximity to Browns Plains, Regents Park is approximately 75% to 80% owner occupied with about 25% of the homes being owned outright and the remainder still being paid off. I live in a great cul-de-sac street of 8-10 homes and know and chat with probably all the neighbours. The kids have the freedom and safety to play on the streets together everyday and we are very happy where we are and should I consider selling where I am I would be content to repurchase again in Regents Park. As a local Real Estate agent I know the area very well and would recommend Regents Park as one of the favoured areas to purchase a home.

Good to know! Anyone have comments on how the area copes in extreme weather events? i.e. flooding and streets/ roads to avoid buying properties on? how did the storm water ways cope in 2012-13 floods/ storms?
