My family moved to Blackett in 1971 into a new house when I was 3 years old. I started school in 1973 at Blackett primary school and then in 1980 I started high school at Plumpton High.

I have enjoyed growing up in a very family orientated suburb, every house in Casey Place had children and we all knew each other, played into the night together, had sleep overs and went to the same school.

I enjoyed living in Blackett so much that I purchased our family home off my parents in 2000 when they decided to move to country NSW and I have now watched my children go to my same schools and enjoy the same area, including Blackett shops and all the convenience they provide.
