Southern Cross Drive

"New Houses on more than 1 acre"

Development has only just begun on Sourthern Cross Drive, so all of the houses are either brand new or still under construction. The blocks are at least 1 acre each, with many being larger.

The noise from the Warrego Highway can sometimes be heard, but as development increases and additional residential houses are built this will reduce. It is only a 5 minute drive to the centre of Dalby.

Cavill Avenue

"The Busiest Street in the Gold Coast"

Cavill Avenue is by far the busiest place in the Gold Coast. It is a shoppers paradise as well as leading down to the famed Surfers Paradise beach.

However, if you don't like crowds, then you will hate Cavill. It gets especially busy during schoolies when nearly every year 12 graduate migrates for a week of parties.

Chapel Hill Road

"Best Views of Brisbane"

Mt Coot-Tha is a mountain that provides some of the best views of the Brisbane city and surrounding suburbs. It is the tallest nearby mountain and the Sir Samuel Griffith Drive is the tourist route straight to the top.

Every house, of which there are few, has an amazing view.

It does take some time to get into the city, and the tourist traffic can be extreme at some times of the year, but Milton and Toowong are quite close.

Prince Henry Drive

"Palatial Houses with an Amazing View"

Prince Henry Drive has some of the largest and most expensive houses in Toowoomba. It also has one of the best views over the Lockyer Valley.

It is very close to Fairholme College which is perfect for high school aged girls. It does take a little bit longer to get into the CBD, but its other features more than make up for that.

Coolmunda Dam Access Rd

"Amazing Road overlooking Coolmunda Dam"

The Coolmunda dam is one of Southern Queensland's most renowned fishing locations. It is also used for a lot of watersports, including water skiing. If you are looking for a large house with amazing water views, then this is the place!

The traffic is light but continual as boating enthusiasts visit the boat ramp, and you have to watch out for rising dam levels when it rains.

It is only about 5 minutes to Inglewood for all your shopping needs.

Nicholson Street

"Bordering Dalby State High School"

If you are looking for a place in Dalby to live and have high school aged kids, then Nicholson Street is the place. There can be a bit of noise from the kids playing during the day, but the traffic levels at night are very low.

It is only a few minutes to the main street, and you can pretty much get anywhere walking.

Spencer Street

"Wide Residential Street in an Industrial Area"

Spencer Street is a very wide street with some really nice, new houses. It is residiential on the Eastern half and has some light industry on the other side. This may sound like a turn off, but it really shouldn't be. There is no traffic, and Spencer street is just a nice, peaceful street.

It comes off Alderley Street, so it is quick to get into the city or the other side of town.

Swann Road

"Connecting Road of Indooroopilly to St Lucia"

For anyone who studies at The University of Queensland and works at the Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, then Swann Road is the perfect place. It is a major road, but it not really that busy at all. There are a lot of great houses and apartment buildings.

Swann Road is built on a ridge and all the off roads are on a huge slope, so be prepared.

Landsborough Terrace

"Extremely Noisy and Busy"

Although Landsborough Terrace may look like a fantastic position from the maps, there is one big problem. There is a lot of public transport nearby as well as the Toowong Village shopping centre, but it borders the Regatta Hotel and its corresponding bottle shop.

This means that it is always noisy and full of drunks, especially at the early hours of the morning. It would be fantastic for young people who are interested in that kind of social life, but unless you are a heavy sleeper you would constantly be woken up at odd hours.

Bywong Street

"Quiet Street on a steep hill"

Bywong St is a leafy modern street between Taringa and Toowong.

Off Stanley Tce, it's quieter than you'd imagine, however, the street is the length of a valley. This means that walking up and down the street can be quite a task and on street parking is not available.

If you are close to the Stanley St end this isn't as much of a problem as there is available spots on the major road.

All in all a great location if you can deal with the steep inclines

Munro Street

"Perfect for Students"

Munro street is the absolute perfect location for students. It practically borders the University of Queensland. You really cannot live any closer than this.

There is a park on the Eastern side, which is often used for football and soccer games.

Munro street connects to Carmody Road, so it is quick and easy to get to Toowong or Indooroopilly through public transport.

"Quiet Street close to Toowong Village"

Ascog Terrace is within walking distance to Toowong Village, and is only a few minutes to the city or the university of Queensland. The public transport is great with a bus station at Toowong and a city cat terminal outside the Regatta.

There is a bit of traffic noise from Jephson Street, but that is only if you live near it.

Highland Terrace

"Nice Houses Overlooking Golf Course and River"

Hillside Terrace borders the St Lucia Golf Links, and also has a great view of the river. All the houses are built on a bit of a slope, which may get annoying.

If you are a big golfing fan, then the Indooroopilly Golf Course is also within walking distance, and it is a 36 hole course. So there are 58 holes extremely close, which will get please any golfing fan.

The traffic can be a bit annoying as people travel between Indooroopilly and the University of Queensland. This dies down a lot after dark, so it is not really a problem.

Owen St

"Bordering Tennis Courts, and Rugby Fields"

Owen Street borders the Dalby tennis courts and the rugby league and union fields. It also borders the seldom used Racecourse, which takes up the majority of the Eastern side of the street.

Because it crosses the Warrego Highway, the noise levels from traffic can be extreme. The highway also has a lot of noise throughout the night, so there is no time the traffic is lower, unless you live on the far side of the street.

Margaret Street

"Toowoomba's Eat Street"

Margaret Street is the main cafe and restaurant street in Toowoomba, and is often refered to as Eat Street. There are several hotels and pubs, and the entertainment is great, especially with the Strand cinemas.

The traffic is always very heavy especially in the afternoon.

Margaret Street also borders Queens Park - by far the largest park in Toowoomba, which is full of playgrounds and often has special activities such as the circus, plays, and concerts. It also ends just before The Warrego Highway going down the range, so it is often used for people travelling to Brisbane.
