Turner Avenue

"Life in Pleasantville"

Turner avenue is truly pleasantville. The street is green and lined with trees. The surrounding areas are full of parks, football ovals, soccer clubs and many recreational areas. Turner avenue is off the brisbane corso , which is a nice esplanade that runs along the river. Directly opposite our street across the river is the St Lucia campus of The university of Queensland this is connected by a "green" bridge (this means only buses, bikes and pedestrians can use it).
The river is just cross the road and is close to a girls rowing club which also has a launch for boats etc.
Turner ave is on the bus route which takes you all over the city. The city cat takes off from West End or across the bridge at the university and goes all throughout the city.
Fairfield Gardens shopping centre is just a few blocks away - good for groceries but not a lot else at this stage. We do have a little shopping village close by which offers more of a gourmet selection of foods and a cafe.
Generally Turner Ave is a great street, kids playing in the street kind of place while still being only 4km from the city and all the action. It is a great place to live.
