Reviews of Vaughan Crescent, Kew

"Quiet, safe, convenient with a friendly community"

Ideal location for anyone who needs quick access to the city, yet wants parklands and proximity to Melbourne's best schools. Lined by beautiful leafy parks, 100-year old oak trees and walking distance to the Yarra. It takes me only a minute to get onto the Eastern Freeway and I can be in the city within 10-15 minutes.
I really appreciate the sense of community - neighbours look out for each other and the gated entrance to the BBQ area and car parks makes it even safer.

Looking for a home in Vaughan Crescent?

"Lots of open space and great views from my home. The Estate is called Kew Gardens."

Even though in close proximity to freeway noise the street is within easy access to the Yarra River. Excellent for walking and taking the dog for a stroll. Wide open spaces - it feels like the country. The roadway also has cycle access and winds around the river. One can stop at the Kew Boathouse for beakfast, coffee, snack, etc. Feed the ducks and wildlife. Have a BBQ and just enjoy the surrounds. One can also go canoeing. Various functions for special occasions can be booked at the site. It is a peaceful living environment and about 9 km from the city centre. The homes are modern and about 15 years old. A new estate called Main Drive Kew (the previous Kew Residential Services site) has been transformed where "Lego" style white homes have been built. The new streets are quite narrow and every home looks similar to the next. These homes are priced from $1.2M. I have lived at Kew Gardens since January 2001 and just love the environment and location. I would prefer no freeway noise as it can be very disturbing. I would love to have some form of public transport close by as well. I love the birds in the area and people are most friendly. I thoroughly recommend the area as a friendly living space in every way.
