"Beautiful crepe myrtle lined street"

A wonderful street with community feel, lovely cafe and leafy park. City views at one end and conveniences of Booth Street at the other. The houses are amazing in their own right and it has a fantastic feel. A great part of the neighbourhood.

"A quiet street that crosses Annandale's Hinsby Park and reaches all the way to Jubilee Park"

Despite being parallel to Johnston St, View street is relatively quiet. At the Booth St end of the street, it is usually difficult to find parking as residents stop to pick up food after work and on weekend nights. On the northern side, the street descends, after Hinsby Park, down a hill (Hence the view in the street) which at times, sees traffic picking up speed towards The Crescent on weekday mornings which can frighten young families with kids. Also Hinsby Park can be congested with cars during school drop-off and pick-up times.

Nearest public transport is either the Light Rail (10 minutes walk to Jubilee Park and Rozelle Bay stations) or Buses on Booth St (5-10 minutes) or Parramatta Road (15 minute walk).

Hinsby park, which sits right in the middle is always full of young families and birthday parties and also houses a yearly neighbourhood xmas party. The park is small but has a great playground for toddlers and bigger kids with adequate shade and benches with tables. It has a dog area in half of the park (as they are prohibited from the playground area) and large trees surrounding the perimeter. Everybody is always approachable and social and they can usually be seen heading towards Hinsby or Jubilee Parks. There have been some tensions in the past with elderly residents and developments in the park as well as large noisy birthday parties but they are largely tolerated as the demographic changes with more younger families arriving.

Annandale North Public School is a great school which is on Johnston Street and the kids will usually visit the park after school with their friends and family during the week. The catchment area for the school is shrinking every year as it fills with more kids but I think View Street residents will always safely sit within the boundary.

With the phone lines, the street nodes were always drowning with heavy rain so we opted for cable internet with Telstra which give us a solid 100mbps from the Glebe exchange.

Location., location A wonderful street up towards hinsby park/piper st probably the best part or the city end which have fab views over the city. Friendly mix of families and young professionals who even have their own street xmas get together every year at the park

Best location as 100m walking distance to booth street shops, cafes, city bus and the pub yet oh so quiet.
