"Waikiki - Family Friendly Affordable Living."

I have lived on the west side of Read street in Waikiki for the past 5 years & really love the area! I haven't experienced any crime whatsoever, in fact my neighbours look out for one & another on our Community FB page! The kids on my street wave as you go by & happily play outside which is lovely to see. I walk my dog around the area & to our beautiful parks & have never come across any issues, often a friendly hello! Area Specialist Michelle Turner Property Manager Raine&Horne Rockingham Beach

"Waikiki - WA not HAWAII"

Waikiki is a great spot - very popular area. there are a few different areas in Waikiki there is the beach side with quite a few older homes and some of them are really close to the water, then theres the other side which includes the popular harrington waters estate. Harrington waters has some great parks and has some really beautiful well priced properties. The Waikiki shops now has an Aldi and has quite a few take away shops if you fancy chicken or a jesters pie. the Waikiki Dome is lovely and has a great section for holding meetings, I often take my team there for staff meetings.
If you are interested in relocating to Waikiki WA not Hawaii - feel free to contact me any time Martina Berry Director Professionals Rockingham 0432367281 [email protected]

"Beaches may be good but be prepared to be burgled."

Crime is rampant here as mining boom has finished . I have noticed a real change and it's a shame. So much potential

"Harrington Waters Estate"

Waikiki Primary School right on your door step, which is quickly getting a good name for high quality education and other activities. Great parks and play areas for young children, and a scenic lake. While still having other benefits like being walking distance to Warnbro Train Station and main roads. Of course, great beaches and fishing are just 5 minutes away.

  • Good value for money
  • Very friendly
  • Close to award winning beach

Are you a real estate agent? You sound like it. Waikiki/ Greater Rockingham real estate has been loosing value for the last five years and still is (dated 2019). It's a great place to buy and sell homes if you want to loose money on your invested capital. If purchasing, be very, very careful and don't be surprised if you loose money when you go to sell.

"Simply the best... better than all the rest..."

Having lived in three other areas in WA, I found that Waikiki simply has it all.

Yes it is quite far from Perth City but then should that affect a rating of a place. I dont think so.

West of Read looks the better part and close to the beach is suuuuuuuuper

The pros:

- It is quiet
- It is scenic
- Family friendly - my children love it. My 3 year old did not go into the sea for until we came to the Waikiki area, now he loves running in.
- Some nice local shops but nothing too big
- Ease of parking throughout
- Good property prices
- Excellent local childcare and education facilities

Cons
- Not a huge amount of extra curricilar activities / softplays etc but Rockingham is close enough.

Sweeeeeeeeeeet

"A perfect balance"

Waikiki is a beautiful place, especially within it's estates (Harrington Waters). This suburb has a relatively new primary school- Waikiki primary as well as a highly reputable, friendly and community focused school, South Coast Baptist College, which also has well recognised early learning childcare centre. My 6 years of experience in Waikiki has brought me a great lifestyle, near to the beach, close to parks, friendly neighbors and great church community. this suburb seems to have a perfect balance of relaxation, work, proximity, beach, restaurants, transport links and family and friends. A humble place, with much room to grow.

Great for

  • Harrington waters estate, beautiful, central and friendly
  • Very friendly
  • Good value for money

Not great for

  • Doesn't have a central cafe strip

"Beachside living at it's BEST !!!!"

Only the lucky ones get to live in Hilda Rd, Waikiki. Nice wide street with big block sizes. Even at the furthest point in the street you are located just a short walk to one of the best beaches on the west coast. Warnbro Sound has won the best natural beach awards several times and looks like continuing to do so. There is nothing like walking along this beach in the early morning, peaceful and quiet with crystal clear water. No 6 Hilda Rd is set high up with magnificent views towards Mandurah and back towards Penguin Island. It's just a short drive to the train station which will get you to perth in around 35 minutes. This is the idylic beachside lifestyle yet still close to Perth if needed. With the planned developments in Rockingham this area is hopefully set to get some good price rises in the future. Similar properties further north on the coast are worth three times as much or more.
