"Nice area"

Most of West Ballina is really nice, lots of canal and riverfront homes and parks. Close to shops and schools and you can ride your bike into town. Good access to the highway if you work north of Ballina. Lots of young families and retirees so it’s a pleasant community

"Hidden Gem"

We had frequented Ballina before moving but never explored the Quays area. It’s a great canal estate. Has a pretty park and boat ramp down the end. The Richmond is beautiful to explore if you have a tinny and I’d great for fishing. Plenty of mud crabs and flathead. You can also fish straight off the wall or pontoon in the park. Close enough to the highway to head north and south but not so close you can hear it. Close to the beach and town, with some cool restaurants and bars popping up. Great place to live with good neighbours. Never had any issues with security.

"Great access to town and river, and the rest of the Northern Rivers"

We have bought here in late 2021 and the area definitely seems to be changing with younger families moving in, and a lot of the older homes being renovated, making for some good looking streetscapes. The water/river front houses are now selling for big $'s and there is a flow on effect through the suburb. Ballina itself seems to be booming with new cafes and restaurants oepning up. West Ballina itself is still just a 10 minute drive to all the main beaches. It's so close to town, but also very close to the highway to access the rest of the region. Bangalow in 15 mins, Byron in 25 mins, and the Gold Coast in 1hr.

"Canal view, park view, river view near large housing estate"

Wolves in sheep clothing and/or sheep in wolves clothing- makes no difference what the point of view you have, its pretty much the same cost of living and does not discriminate, even when the police are called or the new Human Services send out notices to non-housing residents complaining. Not all of Ballina Shire is like this. Think "Getto".
