"Peaceful friendly suburb"

Great community spirit, centred around a very good public primary school and local shopping village. Everything within walking distance - shops, school, local park with pool and gym. Quiet, lovely bush surrounding. Close to many great secondary schools.

Great for

  • Community spirit
  • Close to Macquarie business park and shopping centre (movies, bowling, eateries)
  • Only short drive into city via motorway

"Lovely friendly & bushy suburb"

Great suburb for kids. Great walks, cycling is hilly (mountain bike or road), heavy traffic on the Parkway as used as a thoroughfare between Ryde rd & Pennant Hills. Small & good public school, catholic private school. Only buses but 2 train lines near by. Bush makes the suburb, lovely walks but fire risk in summer. Shopping centre hums on Sat, kids everywhere in sports uniform, great for local kids! Beaches 30 mins, city 30/40 mins, freeway to blue mountains close, freeway to Newcastle close, freeway to city close. Pretty good spot.

"Great Family Suburb.... but probably not for singles"

West Pymble is a little suburb to the side of the exclusive Pymble area, it is quiet and has a great community spirit. Most activities are based around BBQs, local community activities and kids. There is a great little shopping centre for most things, but no nightlife of pubs in the area. The local restaurants are well local…

"Tucked Away Quietly"

This is not a drive-through suburb, as it ends in bushland. As a result it is a very quiet pocket of the busy north shore of Sydney. The houses here are more modest than Pymble itself, and prices of course are lower. There are several retirement unit developments in this area, a small group of shops, and buses take commuters to Pymble Station to get the train to the city or Hornsby.

The text does not seem to match the score ? For singles I agree 0/5 but for families 4 or 5 out of 5...

Agree, family suburb. No night life near by, too hilly for elderly, no shops except food.
