Reviews of Whittington, VIC

"Quiet and Convenient"

Best move I’ve ever made. Moved in 2021 and the wife and kids are very happy here. Two shopping centres 2 mins away, Dan Murphy’s and Bunnings same distance. Geelong CBD 5kms, Kardinia Park even closer, great fishing in all directions, parks and friendly people easy to find. Queenscliff ferry 20 mins away to catch up with family across the bay. Don’t think I’ll ever leave

"Quiet, calm, close to everything"

Love whittington. Close to everything - two big shopping centres down the road, Geelong flower farm, mills markets, great ocean rd and beaches a twenty minute drive, 5 minutes to Geelong CBD, an hrs drive into Melbourne. Good local schools. Great air quality and bird life. Bought here 4 years ago and the missus and kids love it here. We’re planing on renovating and might rent or sell down the line, but want to stay in the area.

"Hidden gem of a suburb!"

Whittington’s a fine suburb, I’ve been here two years and it ticks all the boxes. Always taking the dog for walks along the Bellarine Rail Trail walking and cycling path and only an eight minute drive to Geelong foreshore. I’d read it didn’t have a good reputation before moving in, but it’s been peaceful and picturesque living here. Nice neighbours, quiet and friendly, and neat well tended front lawns . From what I can tell there’s an elderly population in the neighbourhood and young families and kids moving in. Quite a few primary schools and a retirement village. It’s not a large suburb and shares a postcode with newcomb and east Geelong. I chose this suburb as it was affordable and I found areas like Corio too industrial for my tastes. Also enjoy the closer proximity to bellarine peninsula and great ocean road. 👍
