"Wilbur Cres one of Hughesdale's Prettiest."
Wilbur Cres is a very small 'street' that links Euston Rd with Neerim Rd. It is arguably one the prettiest streets in Hughesdale. It is a fine example of how and why a heritage overlay should be in place for the right type of street. The majority of homes are Spanish Mission style and are largely very well maintained. Most are on relatively small parcels of land circa the 550m2-600m2. The street is tree lined and has a very distinctive bend in the road, which is very much out of character for Hughesdale. It can carry some through traffic during peak times, however outside of this it is very quiet. The childcare centre on the corner of Neerim Rd is well patronised and well looked after.
Location is excellent with all amenities including Chadstone Shopping Centre, Poath Rd strip shops, Hughesdale and Oakleigh railway stations all within very easy walking distance.
The last house sold in the street was 9 Wilbur Cres for $937,000 back in 2013.
