Reviews of Willow Rd, Woodlands

"Great for families and all humans. A really good atmosphere and community"

This is a great little street, near a lake and shops and people live here forever and so do their children. It has a great community feeling and neighbours are very supportive and most people know each other and look after each other's gardens when neighbours go on holiday or away from home. It is a very quiet street and is almost all owner occupied. The real estate has skyrocketed over the last few years and it is very difficult to buy into the street unless you are very rich or earn a lot of money. Most houses now sell for upwards of 800,000 and then some. Gardens are well cared for and there are always kids playing outside. There are great schools and shops nearby, as well as a fantastic lake with a playground for the kids and there is a movie theatre and pub close by. There are lots of take-away restaurants and some good eat-in restaurants and food shopping is easy at Innaloo Shopping Centre. They have the best fish market in the state and the best fruit and vegie shop as well. Most people have lived in the street for nearly 40 years and although some new people have come, many of the old ones have stayed. Some have even built new homes at the back of their properties for their kids. The street is really peaceful and quiet and there is little noise from Liege Street which is a major link to the Innaloo Shopping Centre and Scarborough Beach Road, although you can hear it faintly. All of the homes in the street are well cared for with most homes having nice gardens. There are great schools, both government and private, close by and Edith Cowan University is nearby as well. Just off Pearson Street, there is a small market garden and on Saturdays throughout the year, there is a man called Vic who sells fantastic fruit and vegetables to the public. He grows the best watermelons ever! The property is 5 minutes walk away and it is extremely popular. Herdsman Grower's Market is also nearby and it has the best selection of beautiful fruit, vegetables and gourmet delights known to man - very expensive but delicious.
